Quilt Panel - SONIA BLUE
Your one of a kind hand embroidered quilt awaits.
One of a kind because it will be embellished with your own stitching, adding your personal handmade touch. These quilt panels are designed for hand embroidery without the overwhelm of stitching every inch of a full quilt. The designs on each square panel are intended to be enhanced with a variety of simple stitches, not covering the full design but rather adding texture and making the colours pop. They are quick to stitch and allow for a variety of stitches of your choice. You can outline the petals or fill them with satin stitch or add a few French knots or some single stitches. There is no wrong way to do it and it is a lovely way to stitch intuitively. You may keep the whole quilt panel as one piece, stitching it and then adding wadding and backing fabric of your choice. You may also cut the squares up and add other colours in between turning it into a bigger quilt of your preferred size and shape.

Fabric is a soft blend of 50% linen and 50% cotton with a 190gsm weight.
Twenty square designs measuring 23cm x 23cm
Twelve "cornerstone" designs measuring 6.5cm x 6.5cm
Full quilt panel measures 100cm wide by 130cm long.
An inspirational message printed along the edges of your quilt.
Limited edition quilt panel is numbered.

Embroidery threads:
If you’d like to add a pack of threads in matching colours you can do so in the drop down menu below. I have used only two colours here but of course you can use more. The colours I’ve used are:
DMC 22
DMC 223
DMC 976
DMC 839
DMC 3835
DMC 503
DMC 930
DMC 987
DMC Ecru
You can use a variety of different reds and pinks, add other colours if you like and of course if you have a collection of threads at home by all means use those. Using perl thread is also fine for this project.
A thread pack is an additional $65 and contains 27 skeins of thread and 6 x Chenille size 22 needles.

The quilt panels go into production from the time the ordering window closes (30th March). Fabric printing, cutting and packaging will take place between 31st March and 30th April. Shipping of orders will begin in the first week of May.
