Journal Cover - MARTA
Stitch and sew your own journal cover.
The kit contains:
printed linen featuring a journal cover design with front and back covers and side flaps.
printed linen with matching design for using as the lining or to make a separate small zipper pouch.
Embroidery instructions.
Sewing instructions to make your journal cover.
Bonus patterns to transfer onto your journal pages and paint with watercolours.
You will need:
Hard cover A5 journal. These are very common in stationary shops and the exact size is not important as you will be able to fit your cover to your journal as long as it is A5. If it’s a few mm bigger or smaller that’s ok. Don’t use soft cover or spiral bound journals. The kind I recommend is shown in a photo below. Colour of the cover does not matter as it will be covered by your stitched fabric.
Threads & needle. The kit does not come with threads. Most people have lots of threads at home and I encourage you to use what you have in your stash. The colours I recommend are DMC stranded cotton: 1 x ECRU, 1 x green 987, 1 x purple 3835, 1 x orange 976, 1 x brown 839, 1 x red 22, 1 x pink 223. Check your stash, you might already have these or similar.
