Join me for a two day course as you bring to life your very own hand embroidered journal with hand painted and decorated pages.

Nothing could be more unique to you, as you prepare the pages for your personal journey of gratitude, planning, thinking or letting go.

This two day course sets you up for easily making more journals for yourself in the future.

WEEKDAY: Wednesday & Thursday 2nd-3rd October 10am till 4pm each day.

IN THIS 2 DAY COURSE YOU WILL

• Select your preferred design out of the four pictured designs (Marta, Stanley, Kylie, Alicja).

• Use a variety of stitches to easily hand embroider your journal cover.

• Sew your cover together using my sewing machine and the lining provided.

• Learn to compose your designs on your pages using a variety of provided patterns.

• Trace your patterns onto your journal pages.

• Learn simple ways to use water colour paints and how to select colours for your designs.

• Paint at least one, and more likely several journal pages.

• Cover your journal (provided) in your new hand embroidered cover and take home a keepsake to treasure for ever.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

If you're looking to create your own unique journal, not just with a hand embroidered cover but also filled with hand painted and decorated pages then this course is for you. This masterclass is suitable for students of all stitching abilities, however it is preferable that you have at least had some experience with a needle and thread. You will complete your embroidery quicker if you are familiar with the below listed stitches. If you don't know some of these I will be demonstrating them on the first day and will be there to guide you along at every step.

You do not need any painting or drawing experience. I have deliberately created a simple system which you'll be bale to repeat at home on more pages and in future journals.

During the two days you will also be provided with:

• water colour paints

GENRAL INFORMATION:

The two day course will be held in my home in Gladesville, Sydney.

I will be providing morning and afternoon tea with a selection of herbal teas, black tea, coffee (with regular or oat milk), mixed cakes and filtered water. Please bring your own lunch and note that we do not have a microwave.

As I only accept a maximum of six students there will be plenty of time for everyone to receive my tuition. We have a lovely verandah to relax on during breaks and as we live next to a national park the space is peaceful and quiet.

There is street parking available, you may have to walk up a little if there are lots of cars but no more than 1-2 minutes.

My house is on a slight incline and has about ten steps to the front door. Please bear this in mind if you have difficulty walking.
