Kasia has developed her unique style over many years of embroidery practice and influence from her Eastern European culture. Her work is bright, bold and imperfect and she openly encourages students to embrace imperfection and not unpick their work.
The weekend course has been specially designed to give students a fully immersive experience in Kasia’s unique style by not only combining her three most popular workshops into a weekend course but also by giving students the opportunity to choose their patterns, colours and methods of pattern transfer. Students will come away with all the skills to start AND FINISH embroidery projects as well as to make their own decisions about which stitch to place where, what colours to use and what to make out of their finished piece in the end.
The course is suitable for absolute beginners and seasoned stitchers who are looking at expanding beyond traditional practices.

Over a two day weekend students will learn:
Kasia’s six go to stitches that cover most of her patterns. (no one needs to know the whole stitch bible!)
Easy ways to transfer a pattern onto fabric. (find out why there’s a reason blank linen is better than pre-printed)
The herringbone stitch and how to cover large shapes quickly. (this might become the only stitch you’ll ever need)
Kasia’s favourite shortcuts and tips for easy embroidery. (because embroidery is meant to be relaxing not frustrating)
How to use a hoop effortlessly (there is a way!)
How to apply wool as an embroidery medium and mix it with cotton for glorious effects. (use up scraps of knitting yarn like never before)
Which stitches are best to use with wool. (make your life easier!)
Kasia’s own developed method for using colour for embroidery work. (total life changer and no more colour overwhelm)
The weekend course includes:
Two panels of linen (45cm x 45cm).
Pattern (students choose one of two).
Embroidery threads (students choose one of two styles).
Specially selected yarn (students choose two colours).
Needles.
Embroidery hoop.
Demonstrations via large TV screen so students don’t have to huddle around a small hoop while Kasia demonstrates stitches.
12 hours of tuition.
Access to dozens of samples of work for inspiration and project ideas.
Pop up shop of Kasia’s embroidery kits (not available online), hand dyed linens, threads, pattern transfer materials.
